Varda Advisory brings together decades of frontline renewable energy experience, delivering independent, senior-led advice at every stage of the asset lifecycle.
For nearly two decades, Varda’s founders have guided developers and institutional investors through the world’s most complex renewable energy transactions, across six continents. This deep, shared expertise, spanning technology, risk, and investments, serves as the cornerstone of Varda, a company born from a long-held vision to redefine the sector.
By integrating deep technical engineering expertise with pragmatic risk assessment, we provide the clarity developers, investors and lenders need to de-risk complex projects and accelerate the renewable energy transition.
Rooted in Scotland, where some of the world’s most ambitious renewable energy projects have taken shape, we carry that heritage into every engagement: rigour and independence, built from real experience.

Varda is a senior team by design. Every engagement is led and delivered by experienced industry experts, bringing decades of focused renewables knowledge directly to our clients, from scope to sign-off.
Renewables is the only sector we serve. That singular focus is the source of our depth, specialists who have spent their careers immersed in renewable energy, transactions, and risk, bringing genuine sector fluency to every mandate.
A cairn is a stack of stones placed by travellers to mark the path, a waypoint left by those who came before, for those who follow. It is one of humanity’s oldest navigational tools: reliable, grounded, and built from experience accumulated stone by stone.
The word Varda shares this lineage. Rooted in Old Norse, it describes a beacon or pile of stones erected to lead the way and guide travellers safely. It’s a metaphor close to home for our Scottish founders, where cairns remain part of the landscape.
It’s the role we set out to play in renewable energy: to mark the path through complex transactions, to highlight the considerations worth seeing, and to be a reliable point of reference for those navigating new ground.
